Much doings

It's been about 6 weeks since I wrote about the pregnancy and lots has happend since the last time.
Announcement
We told our immediate families about the newcomer on March 17.  Grandma Sarah had the best reaction, hands down!  After Nana Linda opened her birthday presents, I said there was another present, but it wouldn't be here until October.  I actually had to pat my tummy to get Grandma to understand, but boy was she excited when she figured it out.  She wasn't too happy that I didn't want it on Facebook even though I said she could make a few phone calls.  Next  up was telling our bosses and co-workers.  Daddy hasn't said too much about his experiences, but I'm sure everyone expressed their congratulations.  My boss was pretty cool about.  Megan had the best work reaction.  I told her that Allison (Dalke, our Scentsy SuperStar Dirctor) and I could both waddle around Las Vegas this summer at convention.  Megan actually did a little happy, bounce around in a circle, dance in the middle of the floor.  I think pretty much every week since, I've told at least one more person that hadn't heard the news.  Roseann, Aiden's pre-school director, even got teary-eyed.  I think most people have been pleasantly surprised and congratulatory.  It's been fun, and I still haven't had to post my business all over Facebook.
Doctor's Visit
We went to see Dr. Pappas last Thursday, April 19.  He absolutely the best ob, and we adore him.  It was a very long visit with all the history-taking and testing, but it must be done.  The nurse had trouble finding the heartbeat with doppler which isn't unusual so early, and I (surprisingly) didn't panic at all.  She just suggested we get an ultrasound to find it which meant we got to see you way earlier than I thought we would.  Happy, Mommy!  I had been so jealous of other moms-to-be due around the same time as me who had already had ultrasounds.  Shame on me!  You are so tiny, but it was amazing to see and hear your heart beat and watch you move.  It was over much too quickly!  I wish we could do that every month . . . week. . . day!  Overall the appointment went very well, and Dr. Pappas allayed some of our fears and concerns about age and travel and blood pressure.  I feel so much more relazed now.  Our next appointment is May 16th, and then the BIG ultrasound will be June 12.  I can't wait to know if you're a boy or girl!
Stuff
I still haven't had any issues to speak of.  I've had very little nausea or food issues.  The only "problem" has been exhaustion.  I so don't remember being this tired last time.  The last couple of weeks have gotten much better, but I'm still pretty tired.  I've even been known to take a little nap after dinner.  Megan, Kim, and I walk during morning break at work most days.  I've gained a little more weight than I would like to have at this point, so I'm hoping to curtail a little of that with some more exercise and outdoor activity now that I'm getting my energy back.  Maybe I can turn a little of my arm and lege fat into muscle to help lose the baby weight after delivery - and keep it off!  Speaking of tired - I'm about ready for a glass of milk and going to bed.

I think I'm almost ready to take this blog public for the family and friends.  Next, when the 2nd trimester begins sounds good to me.
