19 Weeks & Counting
Things are certainly changing in the Pratt household - mostly my belly and closet (more maternity clothes), but we're still in kind of a holding pattern until the ultrasound next week. I'm ready to pick out baby gear and clothes, but very little on the market is gender neutral. So we wait!
The ultrasound and our baby's gender is a hot topic with everyone, but I'm not sold on telling the world as soon as we know. I'd kind of like to keep the news between the three of us, at least for a little while; however, there would probably be some upset people if we kept it secret for too long. We'll have to decide soon. Of course, if the baby is shy and facing my back again, none of us will know. ;)
I'm feeling pretty good. I kind of over did it last weekend with Aiden's preschool graduation and my 10-year event activities in Branson which resulted in a little swelling, but I'm all good now. Starting to feel those little aches and pains of ligaments and whatnot stretching and shifting. Also starting to feel the baby move almost every day. I wish it was more often, but with my extra padding and scar tissue it's harder to feel little movements.
Aiden is getting more and more excited. He's decided he wants the baby to be a girl, so we can have 2 boys and 2 girls in the family. Little bit OCD? Maybe. He's very interested in baby stuff and asked to see a picture tonight. We've been checking wwww.babyzone.com pretty often for images of what our baby looks like. I can't wait to show him OUR baby next week!
