It's a ......

We had our 20 week ultrasound a week ago tomorrow. It was strange to be outpatient admitted to the hospital, with bracelet, for an ultrasound. Everything looked fine, and we learned that Aiden was right - we will be welcoming a baby girl in October. The technician told us that she wasn't able to get a good shot of the heart, so we may need to return for another ultrasound in a couple of weeks. She also said the baby's size showed as being 18 weeks 2 days give or take 10 days. Of course, this little tidbit concerned me. I kept telling myself that it wasn't a big deal, but I really didn't feel better until Dr. Pappas said it was fine at my check-up 2 days later. I really don't want a Halloween baby! Dr. Pappas also confirmed the need for another ultrasound in a few weeks. I told Joseph that I was going to have enough ultrasound pics for a whole scrapbook by the time she arrives. ;) After the ultrasound we tried to tell all the grandparents first, but none of them answered the phone. We had to wait for callbacks to make the big announcement. Popaw was the last to call as he was busy at work. There were a few people at my work not happy with having to wait their turn to learn we are having a girl. We enjoyed a wonderful Father's Day/anniversary weekend in Branson and talked about names. We think we have one picked out but are still working on the middle name. We'll save that news for another post.
