We have an arrival date

OK, so I didn't keep up with this blog as much as I had intended.  Why?  Mostly because no body seemed interested.  I don't have a single follower.  Yes, it should have been enough to just want to document this amazing time in our life, but honestly, there have been things I didn't want to share at first.
For the most part I have been feeling great.  This pregnancy is very similar to my pregnancy with Aiden in many ways.  We had to have an extra ultrasound because the first one didn't get a got picture of the 4-chambered heart.  The second one showed it just fine.  However, they were running late and didn't give us anything fun to look at.  I was BUMMED! and irritated because I was the one that had to stand around with a full bladder waiting for them.  Then I had a doctor's appointment and had my regularly schedule glucose test.  Well that was a mistake.  It had been a very stressful week (not mention HOT), and my glucose was 12 points too high.  This lovely news came on my 36th birthday.  I did not handle it well.  I cried all day thinking that I had done something that was hurting my baby after I swore I was going to take extra good care of myself this time around because of my age and weight.  Joseph was beyond amazing.  He was the one researching online what it all might mean and making a plan of action for us if the next test results were a diagnosis of gestational diabetes.  He did and said all the right things to pull me through and get me back to reality.  Some days I really don't deserve him, but thank God that he's mine.  I wasn't able to get the 2nd grueling test for almost 3 weeks because we were in Tulsa for Grandma's knee replacement surgery (which went GREAT!), and then we went to Las Vegas for the Scentsy convention (I LOVE SCENTSY).  The 2nd test really sucks - 4 blood draws and another bottle of glucose to drink.  Thankfully, my glucose was totally within normal ranges, so no diabetes.
We finally have a date set for the arrival of our precious girl - OCTOBER 24.  It's already written in my calendar as Rylee's birthday.  Of course, this also made us realize that we have around 10 weeks to get ready for her to be here.  Not surprisingly, we made some serious progress on the nursery this past weekend - more clutter pulled out and paint on the walls.  I love the purple we put on the walls.  I can't wait to get the rest of the old office/craft room stuff out, so we can load in furniture, curtains, and decor.  Of course, some of that still needs to be painted and made.  :)
This weekend I will be in Tulsa for girls weekend at the Creating Keepsakes Convention for paper craftes.  I have so much to look for - Kindergarten, Las Vegas, and baby girl.  Hopefully, I can find some cute baby paper that isn't pink.  I'm feeling a little pinked out at the moment.
One week from day my baby boy start Kindergarten, and he still insists that he isn't changing dirty diapers.  He so funny!  He's also excited about the arrival of his sister and promises to be the best big brother ever!
